purpose

This is a free, open source program for editing school time tables.

Using drag and drop in a graphic user interface you assign teachers, time slots and rooms to a given set of lessons (read more, look at screenshots).

status

Release 0.0 is stable and usable though probably useless for any real-world application.

Data structures are primitive and unflexible: it is assumed that a class spends the whole week together. There are no means to break classes into subgroups, and to bin subgroups into blocks. Room assignement is not implemented.

Development of this software is discontinued.

download

The program requires Linux and a three-button mouse. It is available as a source archive (and not yet as a .rpm or .deb binary package).

Instructions for download and build are here; a nucleus of a user manual is here.
